A complete modular kitchen transformation for a family home in Kottayam, designed around the daily rhythm of a busy household while maximising every inch of available space.
The brief was clear: a high-performance kitchen that looks as good on a weekday morning as it does when guests arrive. The clients wanted acrylic-finish upper cabinets for easy cleaning, paired with a muted linen-toned laminate on the lower section for visual depth.
We designed a U-shaped layout that positions the cooking triangle — sink, hob, and refrigerator — within comfortable reach. A dedicated baking counter was incorporated at a comfortable height, with deep drawers below for mixing bowls and baking trays.
The Calacatta beige quartz countertop provides a durable, non-porous surface, while the 600 mm subway-tile backsplash creates a clean visual rhythm. A Faber built-in chimney is integrated flush with the overhead cabinetry for a seamless finish.
